STYLE SPOTLIGHT | SUNDRESSES

As I am sure you have already figured out, my spotlight this week is Sundresses!  As the weather continues to get warmer, I get to break out my sundress collection again, YAY! For those of you who don't know, I have a bit of a dress obsession.  Seriously, dresses are my weakness.  At last count, my closet is home to 84 dresses... 40 of which I categorize as sundresses (I capsuled and categorized my wardrobe using Stylebook, which I freaking LOVE. If you haven't yet, you should go check it out right now.) Anyways, in honor of my obsession, here is a list of 6 gorgeous summer dresses that I am currently coveting.

WHAT I WORE | DENIM SHIRTS & MINI SKIRTS

Oh my goodness you guys, IT WAS SO NICE OUT TODAY!! Lalalaaaa, It's finally Sprriiiinnnggggg (knock on wood, since the last time I said that I was answered with three feet of snow... yes, three feet of snow).  

But, today was so beautiful that it called for a mini skirt and bare legs! YAY! I have been meaning to start doing OOTD and outfit posts here for a while now, but a few things have been standing in my way.

1. My crippling self-doubt and self-consciousness which makes it very difficult to take selfies or have outfit pictures taken (you'll see here that I found a way around that).  

2. Reading through other fashion blogs can be very intimidating.  So many of them feature expensive, high-end, designer clothing.  The kind of clothing that I would love to have, but simply cannot afford.  This made me nervous to post pictures of my own outfits that are comprised of less prestigious pieces.  I mean, I adore fashion and I love putting outfits together, but it's pretty easy to doubt your Target wardrobe when you're looking at someone dressed in head to toe Chanel.  However, after a good amount of back and forth with my self-doubt I came to the conclusion that more than likely most people are like me.  Who cannot afford head to toe designer wardrobes, but still appreciate a cute outfit at a bargain price.

I really liked my outfit today, so I decided today was the day to go for it!  Plus, Gavin said I looked cute as a button, so that has to count for something right?!  (P.S. I did a flat lay because I can only conquer one doubt at a time.)

FIVE EASY STEPS TO CLEANING YOUR MAKEUP BRUSHES.

Okay, so I need to confess something.  This year, was the first time in the history of ever, that I cleaned my makeup brushes.  Yeah, gross right?!  I just never thought it was a big deal!  But, one day I was really bored and just happened to see an article about cleaning your makeup brushes and decided to give it a go!  It took me 15 minutes of rinsing my bronzer brush before I could squeeze clean water from it.  GROSS!  I then decided to try and remember when I had bought each one of my brushes. After realizing that more than 80% of them were purchased while I was in high school, I promptly threw them all away, bought new ones, and also picked up some daily brush cleaner.

So, my PSA for the day: WASH YOUR MAKEUP BRUSHES!

I love trying out new beauty products.  For most of my life, I have had very few skin concerns.  I have always had relatively "normal" skin, meaning that I wasn't prone to breakouts, oiliness, dryness, etc.  The most I ever had to worry about maybe a little redness, which meant I was fortunate enough to bounce from product to product with little to no reaction from my skin.
