BEE STING ESPRESSO



So, here's the thing, I don't drink coffee.  Like ever, I think it's gross.  I don't understand why it seems like everyone, EVERYONE, can't go a day without drinking coffee. But, this morning my handsome husband walks into our room while I was getting ready for work and hands me this coffee confection called a Bee Sting, (also, why would you call a beverage that is supposedly enjoyable after injury brought on by a pissed off insect?  I'm just saying...) and you guys... it was delicious.

Right now I'm assuming that something like 80% of you are thinking, "um duh?" but for the anti-coffee drinker, I was suddenly questioning everything I have ever known to be true in my life...

Here's what you need:

  • 2 Shots Espresso
  • Honey
  • Cinnamon
  • Half & Half
  • Ice

Directions: Start by brewing your espresso.   While that is happening, pour roughly 2-3 tablespoons of honey and 1 (ish) teaspoons of cinnamon into your cup.  At this point, your espresso shots should be ready, pour the espresso into your cup and mix well.  Next, fill your cup 3/4 of the way full with ice.   Finally, top with what Gavin (husband) estimates to be 1/4 - 1/2 cups of half and half.  Basically, fill with half and half until the cup is full.  Mix well and enjoy! 

Gavin did mention that he doesn't actually measure any of the ingredients, these are his best estimates. So if you're not a huge fan of honey, put in less, if you really dig cinnamon, load it up!  Do you, you guys, you know? Just do you.
