THE BEST MASCARAS AT ANY PRICE

If there is one piece of makeup that I consider myself kind of an expert on, it's mascara.  I mean, I like makeup.  I like playing with it, trying out new styles, and I'm pretty darn good with it for the most part, but I'm certainly not an expert on it, more of an adventurer maybe?  But,  I also had the great fortune of being born with super long eyelashes, so from a young age, I learned how to show them off (seriously, I was the 5-year-old who could apply mascara flawlessly).  But, in addition to showing them off, I also learned how to take care of them.  Meaning never, and I mean NEVER sleeping with mascara (or any makeup for that matter) on my face. To trying out tons of mascaras to find the ones that not only highlight my favorite feature to their fullest extent without doing damage to my eyelashes while I am wearing it.

MY (CURRENT) MORNING COMMUTE PLAYLIST

One of the biggest differences between Montana and Minnesota? Traffic.  Oh my goodness gracious, how I despise traffic and to be totally honest with you, I get to work at 9 am every morning and leave at 3:30 pm every afternoon, so the traffic I experience is small potatoes compared to most people, I'm just a wimp.  But,traffic didn't exist in Bozeman! ...It'll just take some getting used to again.

But, in order to make that drive remotely tolerable, I need to have a fabulous playlist because you can bet that I am starring in my own personal concert in order to pass the time.  I have a super diverse taste in music, so my playlists usually have of a little bit of everything.  I am also the person who has a playlist (usually multiple) for literally everything, and because this is a lifestyle blog I wanted to share my current morning commute playlist with you!

SWEDISH PANCAKES RECIPE

Every year during Koch Family Cabin Week my Aunt Sandy makes these Swedish pancakes (extremely similar to crepes) one morning for breakfast.  They are consistently my favorite breakfast during that week, and little did I know, they are super simple to make!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY | FREE PRINTABLE GREETING CARDS

This last week I celebrated both my Mom's and Mother-in-law's birthdays and moving forward I wanted to continue the celebration with you!  I don't know how much I've spoken on this before, but something you may not know about me is that I love, love, love a good greeting card. That sounds strange to say, but what I mean is that I think the right card for any/all occasions can make an enormous impact!  I keep all of the cards that I receive, and spend a great deal of time choosing exactly the right card for every occasion, and I do mean every occasion.  Seriously, I send greeting cards for literally everything.  I also am the girl that sees a card she likes in the store and buys it without having an occasion for it, that way I'm always prepared with an adorable card when the right event presents itself!  Like I said, a great card can have a huge impact, which is why I wanted to share these three adorable free printable birthday cards with you!

GIFT GUIDE | BIRTHDAY GIFT IDEAS FOR MOM

This last weekend was a big one for me, Saturday was my mom's birthday, and Monday was my Mother in law's birthday! So, if finding a birthday gift worthy of one amazing woman, imagine both the mom's in your life having birthday's that fall one day apart! And if you're anything like me, gift-giving is basically a sport.  I love nothing more than finding or making the perfect gift for the people I love and let's face it, our mom's deserve all of that and so much more.  I can (and often do) spend hours searching for the perfect thing; with exactly the perfect mix of sentiment and practicality until choosing the perfect gift for that occasion!

FALL STYLE INSPIRATION

As much as I don't want summer to end, I will admit that as far as clothing and style goes... Fall is definitely my favorite season.  Boots, sweaters, jackets, vests, and all kinds of layerings! Gahh I love the layering!!

So, in honor of the impending Fall weather, I threw together a quick picture post highlighting a bunch of the looks, colors, and trends that will be inspiring my personal style this Fall season!

SIX OF MY FAVORITE FREE HANDWRITTEN FONTS

I spend a lot of time looking for awesome fonts for various blogging, Etsy, design projects, etc. And sometimes it can be tough to find the perfect font for your needs.  With that in mind, I thought I would start sharing some of my favorite fonts and resources and hopefully make your search a bit easier!

INSTAGRAM ROUNDUP

Good morning loves!  Well, i'm getting back into the swing of things here after letting Wonderland slide to the wayside the past few months (sad, I know... it was never my intention, I just let myself get too preoccupied and overwhelmed with other things).  What, with, the move, the wedding, changing and starting a new job.  It's been a little crazy and I've been a little overwhelmed.

Well actually, a lot overwhelmed, but that's not the point.  The point is, that I'm back and committed to Andree in Wonderland.  Part of that (really, the most important part) is provided you all with great content and reestablishing the series and regular posts that you've come to expect from me!  Having said that, it's been wayyyyyyy too long since I posted an Instagram roundup.  So, here you are my friends!  Shop away, and enjoy!

SUMMER BEAUTY FAVORITES

As this summer winds down (just kidding, IT WILL NEVER END!), I wanted to do a post on my most used beauty products this summer. Some are new finds; some are tried and true standbys, all of them are super affordable... mostly because I'm super broke and can't afford the high-end stuff. BUT!  That being said, I just have to sift through the inexpensive stuff to find the hidden gems.

NEW ON ETSY | BIRTH & BABY ANNOUNCMENTS

Let me start this post off by clarifying, no I am not pregnant.  This is not a pregnancy or birth announcement of my own.  Now that we have that cleared up, I am super excited to announce the addition of Birth Announcement printable cards to the Andree in Wonderland Etsy shop!

THE EASIEST PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES EVER

So here's a fun fact about me, I have a raging sweet tooth, like the most raging of sweet tooths (I'm eating moose tracks ice cream as I type this).   And because my raging sweet tooth rears its sugar-craving head... well basically all of the time, but sometimes it's worse than others, and sometimes (albeit, not often) I don't have ice-cream in the house, I have to have a handful of quick, go-to recipes to satisfy my all-powerful sweet-tooth.  Or I suppose I could try and fight it, but this way I get cookies, so I think I'll stick with this way.  So anyways, a couple of days ago I woke up with the most ridiculous craving for cookies, so naturally, I made peanut-butter cookies at 9am.

OUTFIT OF THE DAY | MY FAVORITE BLACK ONE PIECE

MOMENTS OF REFLECTION

Hello, friends, as most of you who follow Andree in Wonderland know, it's been a crazy month for me.  Moving to Minnesota being the very least of it.  Most of the craziness came from the preparation for the middle of my two younger sister's (Lexi) wedding.  Which was exactly a week ago now.

INSTAGRAM ROUNDUP

Hello, loves! So, I have been totally AWOL for like the past week, and I apologize, but I have a pretty good excuse... MY LITTLE SISTER IS MARRIEEDD! SHA LALALAAAAAA!  So, I was dedicating my time to her and the wedding... come on, you can't fault me for that!  Anyways, I'm back now and it's time for another Instagram Roundup!

As always, I will do my very best to give you direct shopping links to everything that I can.  If exact links are not available, I will provide you with links to similar items.

STYLE SPOTLIGHT | OFF THE SHOULDER

Good morning my lovelies!

Real Talk - I have been so scattered since this move!  I've let myself fall way too far behind in maintaining the blog and my social media presences and NO MORE! I am back and I'm not leaving!  But, I do apologize if you've noticed a drop off in my presence lately, moving is insane and I let myself push things aside, which wasn't okay.

This week I wanted to try something new! Instead of choosing one clothing item to focus on, I chose a trend -  Off the shoulder!  If you haven't seen this trend all over the freakin' place then I think maybe you live under a rock... maybe it's a nice rock, I'm not here to judge. But, my point is that the off the shoulder trend is literally EVERYWHERE right now! (Apologies for my lame attempt at humor).  Anyways, I'm officially rambling, so stop listening to me and start shopping!

WHAT I WORE | STITCH FIX STYLIST INTERVIEW

So, guess what?!  I interviewed to be a Stitch Fix Stylist yesterday!  Dressing for an interview also takes a bit of thought, dressing for an interview to be a stylist is a whole different ballgame!  Walking that line between remaining professional and making sure that the outfit is stylish and trendy enough to please and impress the interviewers was stressful!  Then again... I do tend to overthink most things.  Needless, to say my bedroom looks like a tornado came through it!

Let me first preface this post by telling you upfront that most of the pieces you see me wearing in this post are not super recent purchases.  So, I apologize if I cannot link the exact piece you see in the photos, but I will do my best to get as close as I can!

INSTAGRAM ROUNDUP

Hello, again my loves! It's time again for another Instagram roundup!  I believe I explained in my first post of this series, but just in case I didn't, I wanted to clarify that this post series is not set to any sort of schedule.  Meaning, it won't happen on a specific timetable or specific day of the week.  Basically, I will be monitoring my Instagram feed and when I feel there have been a considerable number of posts worthy of being "rounded up," so to speak, then I will post a new addition to the series!

Now that we're all on the same page, enjoy shopping my recent Instagram posts! There are some pretty fabulous pieces this time around if I must say so myself!

STYLE SPOTLIGHT | HIGH HEEL SANDALS

Summer time!  Summer to me means cabin time, endless days spent on the lake, water sports, state fair, sunshine, and of course, summer weddings!  Gavin and I were invited to eight, count 'em, eight, weddings this summer. Naturally, I use each wedding as an excuse to purchase a new outfit... can I get an amen ladies? Anyways, I just recently bought three new pairs of dressy heeled sandals, and I'm still itching for more, like I want my closet to look like a Carrie Bradshaw's, kind of more. But, alas, I do not have that kind of money (yet!... hopefully?) so instead of buying everything, I will share them here for you all to lust over with me.

INSTAGRAM ROUNDUP

Hey loves!  I'm starting a new post series called "Instagram Roundup."  I often post pictures to my Instagram feed that don't end up in blog posts, so once every couple weeks, I will round up all of the Instagram posts that didn't end up on the blog and post information and shopping links about them!

LEXI'S CAMPOUT BRIDAL SHOWER

Hello, lovelies!  I am so sorry that this has taken so long for me to post!  As many of you know I recently moved back to Minnesota for the summer and my first weekend back was jam packed! My youngest sister's graduation party, my dad's birthday, lots of family in town, annnnd Lexi's bridal shower!! You know, that little event that I have been planning and talking about for months now?!  Yup! Finally happened!  And, I think it turned out AWESOME!

STYLE SPOTLIGHT | SUNGLASSES

Since Montana can't seem to fully submerge itself into Summer just yet, this week's spotlight is reflective of my wishful thinking.  My chosen theme this week is sunglasses! I really dig a good pair of sunnies, but I'm not the girl who just sticks to one pair.  I like to mix them up to be reflective of my style and mood each day!

I apologize, as we are in the middle of packing away our life for our big move, this will be a shorter wishlist than you are used to seeing here.  I'm going to skip my annotations for now, but that shouldn't stop you from shopping the heck out of these awesome sunnies!

THE MOVING DIARIES | 10 THINGS I HAVE LEARNED ABOUT PACKING

In today's edition of The Moving Diaries, I am sharing a list of 10 things that I have learned about packing. Really, these are all things that I have learned every single time that I have moved in the past, yet somehow I manage to forget them all until I choose to move again...

MY TOP TEN HOLLYWOOD BEAUTY ICONS

As a beauty enthusiast, makeup lover, and, you know, a human woman, I often look to Hollywood starlets for hair and makeup ideas, tips, and tricks.  It's not exactly a secret that we are constantly being influenced by celebrity style.  I mean, how many times have you brought a picture of a celeb to the salon as inspiration?  I'm pretty sure that I do every single time I have my hair done!

THE MOVING DIARIES | BIG THINGS ARE HAPPENING

Hello, there my lovelies!  Over the past few months, I have been hinting at and making references towards some big changes happening for Gavin and me, and I figured that maybe it's time to fill everyone in.  So, here it is...

STYLE SPOTLIGHT | BATHING SUITS

As promised via Instagram, this week's spotlight is on: swimwear!

STYLE SPOTLIGHT | WATCHES

I know we've talked a lot about my various clothing obsessions (yeah, there's a lot, we haven't even scratched the surface!), but we haven't dug too far into accessories or jewelry yet.  To that end, this week's spotlight is comprised of my ultimate accessory obsession: watches.

To be totally honest, the way I use watches we could probably label them bracelets since I'm fairly sure none of my watches say the correct time... but whatever!

My love for watches began with a gorgeous watch that my Mom gave me in high school. Black leather band, oversized numbers, and an oversized face completely covered in Swarovski crystals.  swoooooooon.  I still have it, and it's still gorgeous.  From that moment, my obsession and my watch collection grew and continues to grow.

WHAT I WORE | GARDEN PARTY FUNDRAISER

Hello, loves!  Some of you know, but I am the Special Events Assistant for the Bozeman Health Foundation, and this past weekend was our Annual Hospitality event!  The biggest event fundraiser that we hold all year! And this year, we outdid ourselves!  For the first time ever, we were completely sold out of seats, our raffle tickets sold out in record time, our live drive raised $190,000 alone, and though I don't have the exact number just yet, I know that we raised close to $400,000 to go towards the Bozeman Health Special Care Nursery!  So, an incredible and MASSIVE thank you to everyone who donated auction items, their time and money, and services to this amazing event!  We live in an amazing community filled with fantastically generous people, so thank you to all of you!

In addition to raising money for the special care nursery, this event gives everyone an opportunity to play dress up for a night (which, of course, I am always in favor of!).  This year's theme was Garden Party! And, oh man, people went all out!  It was amazing! It also provided me with the perfect opportunity for a super fun, "What I wore," post!

STYLE SPOTLIGHT | SUNDRESSES

As I am sure you have already figured out, my spotlight this week is Sundresses!  As the weather continues to get warmer, I get to break out my sundress collection again, YAY! For those of you who don't know, I have a bit of a dress obsession.  Seriously, dresses are my weakness.  At last count, my closet is home to 84 dresses... 40 of which I categorize as sundresses (I capsuled and categorized my wardrobe using Stylebook, which I freaking LOVE. If you haven't yet, you should go check it out right now.) Anyways, in honor of my obsession, here is a list of 6 gorgeous summer dresses that I am currently coveting.

WHAT I WORE | DENIM SHIRTS & MINI SKIRTS

Oh my goodness you guys, IT WAS SO NICE OUT TODAY!! Lalalaaaa, It's finally Sprriiiinnnggggg (knock on wood, since the last time I said that I was answered with three feet of snow... yes, three feet of snow).

But, today was so beautiful that it called for a mini skirt and bare legs! YAY! I have been meaning to start doing OOTD and outfit posts here for a while now, but a few things have been standing in my way.

1. My crippling self-doubt and self-consciousness which makes it very difficult to take selfies or have outfit pictures taken (you'll see here that I found a way around that).

2. Reading through other fashion blogs can be very intimidating.  So many of them feature expensive, high-end, designer clothing.  The kind of clothing that I would love to have, but simply cannot afford.  This made me nervous to post pictures of my own outfits that are comprised of less prestigious pieces.  I mean, I adore fashion and I love putting outfits together, but it's pretty easy to doubt your Target wardrobe when you're looking at someone dressed in head to toe Chanel.  However, after a good amount of back and forth with my self-doubt I came to the conclusion that more than likely most people are like me.  Who cannot afford head to toe designer wardrobes, but still appreciate a cute outfit at a bargain price.

I really liked my outfit today, so I decided today was the day to go for it!  Plus, Gavin said I looked cute as a button, so that has to count for something right?!  (P.S. I did a flat lay because I can only conquer one doubt at a time.)

FIVE EASY STEPS TO CLEANING YOUR MAKEUP BRUSHES.

Okay, so I need to confess something.  This year, was the first time in the history of ever, that I cleaned my makeup brushes.  Yeah, gross right?!  I just never thought it was a big deal!  But, one day I was really bored and just happened to see an article about cleaning your makeup brushes and decided to give it a go!  It took me 15 minutes of rinsing my bronzer brush before I could squeeze clean water from it.  GROSS!  I then decided to try and remember when I had bought each one of my brushes. After realizing that more than 80% of them were purchased while I was in high school, I promptly threw them all away, bought new ones, and also picked up some daily brush cleaner.

So, my PSA for the day: WASH YOUR MAKEUP BRUSHES!

WE'RE ALL MAD HERE | FAMILY IN WONDERLAND

Here's down-low: I am utterly convinced that I have the coolest family and friends on the planet. I just am, and I just do.  And seeing how this is a lifestyle blog, I promise that you will be reading about my various family and friends a lot.  So, it only makes sense that you get to know them! This series will be more free-form in the meaning that it will not be on any set schedule.  I will also be varying the format in which each person's post is done (i.e., they may not all be Q&A style like this one).  So, without further adieu, introducing my new post series: We're All Mad Here, Family in Wonderland

PRODUCT TALK | MY FAVORITE SKIN CARE PRODUCTS

As a followup to yesterday's post (Read it here), I thought I would share my current favorite products and how I work them into my daily skincare routine.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE BEST PRODUCTS FOR YOUR SKIN

I love trying out new beauty products.  For most of my life, I have had very few skin concerns.  I have always had relatively "normal" skin, meaning that I wasn't prone to breakouts, oiliness, dryness, etc.  The most I ever had to worry about maybe a little redness, which meant I was fortunate enough to bounce from product to product with little to no reaction from my skin.

BEE STING ESPRESSO

So, here's the thing, I don't drink coffee.  Like ever, I think it's gross.  I don't understand why it seems like everyone, EVERYONE, can't go a day without drinking coffee. But, this morning my handsome husband walks into our room while I was getting ready for work and hands me this coffee confection called a Bee Sting, (also, why would you call a beverage that is supposedly enjoyable after injury brought on by a pissed off insect?  I'm just saying...) and you guys... it was delicious.
